The Osborne Distillery is a Spanish family business, which is known primarily for its brandy. It was founded in the year 1772 in Cadiz. The Carlos I 1520 Brandy de Jerez Solera Gran Reserva is named after the Spanish King Carlos I. The production was initially very accidental: the cellar master of the Osborne family at the time found a forgotten grape distillate in old sherry casks in 1886 in Jerez, Spain. He noticed that the long barrel aging and spicy sherry tones made the distillate a smooth and multi-faceted brandy. This Brandy de Jerez is a blend of different century-old soleras from private casks of the Osborne family. Tasting notes:Color: Mahogany. Nose: Intense, spicy, notes of wood, vanilla, licorice.
