Ron Botran Solera 1893 is the absolute top of the Ron Botran line. It is the oldest rum from the house of Botran and is stored for up to 18 years in small white oak barrels. Before bottling, it is even refined with a 40-year-old Ron Botran. To achieve a gentle ageing and maturity, the Solera is stored at 4000 metres. Awards: - Gold medal winner at the 2006 International Cane Spirits Festival in Florida in the "Dark Rums" category. - Gold Medal Winner at the International Rum Festival in Canada 2003 and 2002 in the category Super-Premium - Gold Medal Winner at the International Rum Festival in Barbados 2001 in the category Super-Premium - Grande Medaille D`Or Selection de la Qualite in Luxembourg 2000Tasting notes:Colour: Amber. Nose: Spicy, floral, fruity. Taste: Honey, vanilla, oranges, caramelised fruits. Finish: Long lasting, notes of sugar cane.
