In 1906 the brand "Black Death" (originally "svarti dauði" - Icelandic for "Black Death") was founded in Iceland by the Sigurdsson family. The brand became famous when Black Death Vodka surprisingly won the gold medal at the "International Wine and Spirit Competition" in 1987. In 1992, the trademark was initially banned in the USA for misleading advertising but was legalized again in the same year after a lawsuit by the manufacturers. Also the current logo with the skull and the black cylinder was created in 1992. Black Death has already sold over 120 million units in 70 countries around the world.Tasting notes:Color: Clear.
