Benriach is always on the lookout for an eclectic mix of casks from around the world, selected for their exceptional character and flavours to pass on to the whisky. The casks are filled with three different types of spirit: classic, peated or triple distilled. The distillery is renowned for its long-standing heritage and, with the end of 2019, is creating a new range that will bring out even more of the variety and versatility of Benriach's "orchard fruit style", covering the full spectrum of whisky tastes. The colour palette of the gift boxes and labels is inspired by the natural surroundings of Speyside. The ORIGINAL TEN embodies Benriach's signature smooth and multi-layered character. Maturation takes place for a minimum of ten years in bourbon, sherry and virgin oak casks to create layers of lush fruit trees, sweet malt and toasted oak, all interwoven with a subtle hint of smoke.
