The name "Black River Casks" is intended to remind us of the Black River in the Nassau Valley in Jamaica. From this river, the limestone-filtered water is used for the production of all Appleton whiskies. Joy Spence is responsible for the production of the Appleton Estate 15 Years Old BLACK RIVER Casks Single Estate Jamaica Rum. It celebrates her 40th anniversary with Appleton. It is a blend of pot and column still rums aged for 15 years. Tasting notes:Color: Copper. Nose: Fruity, spicy, notes of oak, ripe bananas, allspice, ginger. Taste: Full-bodied, notes of vanilla, orange peel, coffee, almonds, hazelnuts. Finish: Long lasting.
