Amrut Whisky is the first single malt whisky from India. Amrut or 'amrita' is Sanskrit for 'nectar of the gods / of life'. This peat-treated single malt matures in oak barrels and is bottled in cask strength without cold filtration and in its natural colouring. Awards: - Liquid Gold Award in 2010 for Jim Murray's Whisky Bible. - Bronze Medal in 2009 at the Malt Maniacs Award.Tasting notes:Colour: gold. Nose: dry peat, leather, hints of citrus. Taste: Dry, spicy, molasses, peat aromas. Finish: Long lasting, butterscotch, vanilla, hints of phenol.
