Amrut Whisky is the first single malt whisky from India. Amrut or 'amrita' is Sanskrit for 'nectar of the gods / of life'. This single malt matures in oak barrels and is bottled in barrel strength without cold filtration and in its natural colouring. Awards: - Gold Medal (91 Points) 'Exceptional' in 2013 at the International Review of Spirits - Bronze medal in 2008 at the International Wine & Spirits Competition, London - Silver medal in 2008 at the Malt Maniacs AwardsTasting notes:Colour: gold. Nose: Classic Amrut style, notes of bourbon, barley, caramel biscuits, hints of spices. Taste: Full-bodied, bitter-sweet, oak, barley, notes of blood oranges, butter.
