The Welsh distillery Penderyn now brought the 7th bottling of the whiskey collection "Icons of Wales" on the market. The name "Rhiannon" refers to a sorceress and horse goddess of the 11th century. The Penderyn Rhiannon is a single malt that matures in ex-Olosoro cask and ex-Bourbon cask. The finish is in an ex-Bordeaux Grand Cru cask. This is a limited bottling. Tasting notes:Color: Bright amber. Nose: Sweet, spicy, notes of berries, hazelnuts, pears, raisins and marzipan, toasted aromas. Taste: Fruity, creamy, sweet, notes of caramel, figs, berries, chocolate and coffee. Finish: Long lasting.
