The rum matures for at least 5 years in very small oak barrels. An advantage of this storage is that the rum has intensive contact with the wood of the barrel and therefore the taste benefits from it. Awards: - Double gold medal in 2005 at the International Spirits Competition in San FranciscoTasting notes:Colour: gold. Nose: Spicy, dried fruit, honey and some vanilla. Finish: Long lasting, smoky. The rum is best served pure and iced.
