The Boulard winery was founded by Pierre-Auguste Boulard in 1825 in Normandy. It is located in Pays d'Auge, in the north of France on the Atlantic Ocean. Pierre-Auguste uses fruit pomace from apples for distillation. From the 20th century, the international sale of Calvados started. In addition to Europe, Africa, USA and Scandinavia, it also became very well known in Japan. The brand grew and was strengthened with new bottlings. The Calvados Boulard contains distillates matured for between 8 and 15 years. Tasting notes:Colour: Amber. Nose: Fruity, complex, toasted almonds, light wood notes, touch of brioche. Taste: Smooth, balanced, gentle, nutty, vanilla, apples. Finish: Long lasting.
